More about me ...

I enjoy travel and spending time with my family.  My virtual franchise gives me so much more free time to do both than I ever experienced as a manager in a big corporation.

I am so grateful that I listened to my heart (and God's whispering in my ear) and left the corporate world behind in time to be home for what turned out to be the last six months of my son's life.  That was the only summer he ever got to sleep in rather than being hustled off to daycare at 7am.  And once school started again, he loved having me there to pick him up after school rather than boarding the bus to go to daycare.  Mind you, we used a great daycare but it's just not the same as having mom there to take care of you.

I am determined never to go back to that corporate life.  I have embraced my new stay-at-home-mom role so fully that I am even the PTA president at my remaining son Andrew's school this year.  Talk about a lifestyle change!  The only thing that could make me love it more is if James were here to benefit from it as well.

I also seek opportunties to educate the public about organ donation.  If the people I meet are ever in a position to donate their loved ones' organs, I don't want them to picture in their mind an old man with an alcohol-ravaged liver as the recipient.  I want them to instead see a sweet little red-haired boy in Dallas who is just waiting for them to make the right decision and hoping that they don't take too long to make it...

Right now, there are 97,000 people in the U.S. waiting for some kind of organ transplant.  66% of them are waiting for kidneys, mostly due to Type II Diabetes.  This is a disease largely preventable through good nutrition.  I believe that one way to reduce the size of this waiting list is to improve the nutrition and health of the potential recipients so they never need to join the list in the first place.

I can't do this alone though.  I am looking for other leaders to help me educate families about health and nutrition.  If you share this passion, I invite you to contact me so we can lock arms and make a difference in the world.

How Well Do YOUR Kids Eat?

I used to worry all the time because my children's favorite food groups were candy and chicken nuggets.  Getting them to eat enough fruits and vegetables was always a struggle.  They seemed to be healthy, though, so I did the best I could and hoped that "someday" I would manage to get them to make better choices.  For the moment they were hooked on the Standard American Diet.

Unfortunately, "someday" never came for my older son, James (the beautiful redhead shown in the picture to the left taken right before he died).  He contracted a virus that completely destroyed his liver.  He was only 8 years old.  How I wish his immune system had been able to fight back more effectively.

I will always regret not finding out sooner about this product that puts whole fruits and vegetables into capsules for adults and gummies for kids.  It's an easy way to bridge the gap between what we know we should eat and what we actually do eat every day.

Since adding this product to our diet, I now have peace of mind knowing that, finally, my family's nutritional needs are being met.  I don't stress out at meal times anymore.

It's been four years now and my family has very rarely needed to visit a doctor or pharmacist for anything.  We used to catch at least one or two cold or flu bugs a year and thought that was normal.  Now we don't.  My seasonal allergies are gone and my husband's are a tiny fraction of what they once were.

We also noticed that we don't suffer from exercise-related aches and pains anymore.  The large, economy-sized bottles of Tums and Motrin are gone from our medicine cabinet.  We just don't need them any longer.

Do you know anyone who might like to know about a product that gets results like that?

"Mom on a Mission"

I am passionate about what I do because I understand now, more than ever, the importance of eating well and know that most of us are just too busy to do it consistently.

It is in James' honor that I am committed to  teaching people how to reduce the risk of having a serious illness or chronic disease occur in their own family.  I am looking to partner with other moms who feel the same.

Do you know anyone who might like to know about a way to improve their family's health and wealth while they impact the health of the next generation?
